Internship Brief
We are looking for a driven, detail oriented, and enthusiastic events intern to assist in the preparation and implementation of events at The White Barn – Edna Valley from March until June. Events intern responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and managing memorable events to meet quality expectations. This internship has the potential to turn into a job position within our company.
Responsibilities

Attend and oversee the success of all booked events at The White Barn – Edna Valley (Must be available ALL weekends during the internship)

Develop and assist in implementing social media projects (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and company website)

Research best marketing practices and make recommendations for marketing improvements

Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction

Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality

Meet with booked clients and their vendors for walk throughs

Attend and shadow site tours and take notes along the side of the Director of Operations and Events

Gather testimonials and reviews from guests following their event or stay with us

Assist in the operations of our VRBO (Vacation Rental by Owner) homes

Ensure compliance and appropriate documentation (insurance, legal, health and safety obligations) is secured prior to each event

Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day

Keep all calendars with bookings up-to-date (Google Calendar, Public Events Calendar, VRBO Calendar and Airbnb Calendar)

Conduct a post-event evaluation and review it with Director of Operations and Events

Review all details and timelines of each event to ensure a seamless experience for all guests

Assist with email correspondence between clients and vendors

Run errands as necessary for company supplies
Requirements
-
MS Office and Excel proficiency
-
30-40 Hours per week
-
Ability to manage multiple projects independently once given guidance

Excellent time management and communication skills

Professional and organized
-
Available all weekends (Thursday - Saturday)

Adequate means of transportation
